Griffin, GA (PRWeb) January 24, 2007 -- The prospect of finding or creating the perfect personalized bridesmaid gift can be daunting. All of us cannot be Martha Stewart and create handpicked, gold-trimmed fig leaves with a monogram made out of wet rice noodles. So this is for the future brides that live in the real world and have modest budgets. The following tips from Morgan & Company, a business specializing in personalized gifts, can help a bride find a personalized bridesmaid gift to fit any budget.First and foremost, you need to determine the interests of your bridesmaids....are they athletic, funny, love shopping or all of the above? Bridesmaids gifts that are personalized with the bridesmaid name or monogram say that you cared enough to take the time to find a gift that was unique and made just for them. Also, a practical gift will be better received than a gift that will never see the light of day after the wedding is over. You may choose a personalized picture frame for that special wedding photo of you and your "maids". Give the music lover a monogrammed wood CD box. The coffee drinker will appreciate a personalized coffee mug. The reader will love the personalized bookmark. Most all bridesmaids love monogrammed bags and most especially monogrammed jewelry. Personalized handbags and jewelry make excellent gifts as they can be put to use long after the ceremony had ended. More times than not, groomsmen gifts usually fall under the bride's responsibility as well. Monogrammed hip flasks or sterling cuff links are always big hits with the guys. For the avid sportsman, a laser engraved wood bat makes a unique and cherished gift. Practical groomsman gifts include engraved pocket knives, keychains, golf divot tools, beer mugs, personalized koozies and money clips.Personalized bridal gifts take a little more thought, but they are worth the extra effort. Before the big day begins, let your bridesmaids know how much you care with gifts created just for them.

Wedding Reception Planning Advice

I remember when watching my wedding reception being planned seven years ago. The sheer excitement of starting a life with my wife-to-be overshadowed just about everything else in my life at the time.
Advice and suggestions poured in from family, in-laws, friends, magazines, talk shows, and the ‘net...smart people helping on everything from choosing a dress to booking a reception hall to what Koozie design to choose. But now that it’s all over and I’m well on the other side of my wedding day, I’ve come to know a few things I wish someone had told me when I was still in the planning stage. Lucky for you, dear spouse-to-be, I am here to let you in on a few things people just don’t tell you. This is good stuff. So pay attention!! :)
Lets assume you are not planning to go to City Hall for a 15-minute ceremony, you’re going to be looking at spending some serious money. I’ll tell you right off the bat the money was well worth it. Of course you want your wedding to be beautiful and special, but it just doesn’t make sense to break the bank. And there are definitely some aspects of the wedding more worthy of your money than others.
Take the wedding dress, for example. In the summer of 1998, my fiancees dress cost a thousand dollars. When I consider that nowadays, I have to wonder what the heck I was thinking. That dress was worn for maybe ten hours. That’s a hundred dollars an hour! Yes, yes, I know – we’re talking about a once-in-a-lifetime event. But that money could have gone toward the down payment on the house we bought three months after our wedding.
At any rate I’d rather have spent extra money on photography – at least you look at your pictures for years afterwards. Or on the reception, where you’re throwing a big, fun party for your friends and family – at least they’ll all appreciate it. The dress, though, just sits there in a closet forevermore.
I am sure there are those that will disagree with me. Too practical, not romantic enough? I certainly would have thought so when the planning was going on. That’s why you desperately need to listen! You see, only those this side of matrimony can think clearly about such things as whether to fill the hall with nine hundred dollars worth of flowers that’ll be dead in a week.
Okay, so I’m maybe being just a little facetious. All I’m saying, really, is be smart about the spending – whether it’s your money or someone else’s. And if you spend half as much attention planning your marriage as most brides do their weddings, you’ll have a much better chance of success at both. Think of the items that you will have and see for a long time.

Planning a Wedding Reception

When my wife and I got married, we decided that we wanted to have a large wedding, not so much for the wedding itself, but for the reception afterward. It was to be a big event. We wanted to throw an unforgettable party after our wedding and make sure that everyone we loved would have a great time and remembered. Planning a wedding reception is not easy, and also not very cheap.

We put our heads together to make it special, but still keep it on a budget. We decided we would have our reception in one of the party rooms at a local hotel. This particular hotel had a great wedding reception package that allowed for you to have a certain number of people for one price. The price included decorations, cups, napkins, a dance floor, and all of the tables and chairs to fill the room. You might think that some of these things would be standard, but you will be surprised to find out that things like napkins and cups are usually charged separately from the rest of a package. Then we decided to get two kegs, some champagne punch, and some finger foods for the guests to munch on.
Now that all of the plans for the wedding reception had been set, we needed to decide on what other kinds of decorations we wanted. My wife and I created centerpieces for all of the tables out of fish bowls, river rocks, candles, and a streamer. We put some river rocks in the fish bowl, set the candle in the middle of the fish bowl, and then wrapped the streamer around the bottom of the fish bowl. Another common thing for a wedding reception is to have small gifts for all of the guests. Both my wife and I have quite a few friends that drink beer, so we decided to get everyone koozies with our names and wedding date on them, so that everyone could remember that night. We got pink for all of the women, and camouflage for all of the men. When the wedding reception finally arrived we had a blast, and everyone thought that the koozies were the best gift that they had ever received at a wedding reception.
Once again, Koozies are a great addition to any wedding.

What a catch, Fishing Koozies.

Now, are these the coolest or what? Done for Michelle and Jim, and shown on the.know.com and produced by www.kustomkoozies.com. They are big time fishermen.

Wedding Koozies

This blog is about koozies and weddings. And how they are a great combination. Here are five reasons why.

  1. A Koozie is an inexpensive wedding favor
  2. A Koozie is personable
  3. A Koozie is something that your guests will keep for a long time.
  4. You can put other wedding items in the koozie
  5. It will help the groom remember your wedding day!
